PRESS and PUBLICATIONS OFFICER |

We are looking for a native English speaker or somebody with perfect written and spoken English who will work in the Information and Communication Unit.
The work consists of:
- Drafting and revising press releases
- Proofreading and editing documents written by non-native speakers
- Coordination of publications: layout, contact with printing companies and distribution (including supervision of outsourced work). This includes the quarterly EEB newsletter Metamorphosis
- Maintaining good relations with press contacts in and outside Brussels and updating the media database
- Organising press conferences and inviting media to EEB events
- Monitoring press coverage
- Co-responsibility for EEB activity report
Qualities and experiences:
- Perfect written and spoken English
- Interest in and basic knowledge of the EU and environmental matters
- Competence in French very helpful
- Proven writing and editorial skills
- Competence with Word; basic knowledge of databases helpful
- Experience in drafting and revising of texts and press releases
- Experience with layout work
- Flexibility (we expect and offer flexibility regarding the working time)
- Prepared and able to work in a dynamic, sometimes hectic working environment
EEB offers:
- A monthly gross salary of 1.630,- Euro (based on 27 h/week; half-time also possible)
