"Air Quality and Climate Change Policies - Separate or Joint Challenges?" - 21 May, 2013

This event follows on from discussions in the EEB conference "Clean Air Everywhere", held in January 2013 with participation of Commissioners Hedegaard and Potocnik. It will follow up by looking at the opportunities and challenges of taking integrated action to tackle climate change and air pollution.

Within this context, efforts to combat climate change and to improve air quality  pursue the same objectives. The identification of potentials for streamlining action can help to make an important step forward. This event aims to examine more thoroughly the potential, co-benefits, challenges and trade-offs of concerted action in these two policy areas. Representatives are invited from policy, civil society, research organizations and practitioners.
