The European Environmental Bureau (EEB) and Green Budget Europe (GBE) have responded to the European Parliament's (EP) vote on an opinion about the proposed revision of the Energy Tax Directive. The organisations welcomed the EP's support for raising minimum levels of taxation but expressed disappointment that the Parliament did not support making taxation on fuels proportional to their carbon emissions.
